Aeroflot – is one of the oldest airline companies in the world. It was founded by the decree of the Soviet government of February 9, 1923 on organization of a system of civil air communication. The present name Aeroflot was acquired in 1932. By end of 1930-es it became the largest airline company in the world. During the WWII (1941-1945) Aeroflot flight team was part of the Soviet army. In mid 1950-es it was the first in the world to implement passenger flights on jet aircrafts TU-104. In 1980-es it had flights to all continents and carried 120 mln. passengers a year. This success has never been beaten yet by any international airline company and is included in the Guinness Book of Records.
