SUBMISSION RULES :
When you submit a website for listing at AWAYAWAY, you agree to abide by the following submission terms. Failure to understand and follow these terms may result in the rejection or removal of your listing. It is YOUR responsibility to ensure that your site conforms to these guidelines. Sites not meeting these criteria will not be accepted and and in the case of paid submissions, refunds will be offered only at our sole descretion. Please also view our Rejection Summary
for specific reasons as to why your listing may be rejected.
AWAYAWAY is strictly a travel orientated site, containing listings and resources related to, or servicing the tourism and vacation industry. We do not accept content or submissions of any other kind. While we recognise that some travel sectors may encompass other subject areas, submissions that promote or contain the following subject matter will not be accepted under any circumstances, whether or not they are related to the travel industry. Furthermore, sites that are found to actively link to third-party sites with such content will also be rejected:
- Adult / Pornography / Nudity / Escort Services / Indecent Activity
- Hate / Crime / Violence
- Conterfeit / Replica goods
- Anti-religions / Anti-semetic
- Pyramid / Ponzi schemes
- Narcotics / Drug Parapharnalia
- Copyright Infringement / Warez / Torrent
- Essay, Dissertation, Thesis, and Coursework writing services
- Gambling / Betting / Casino / Paid Gaming
- Hunting (except Fishing) / Poaching Shooting / Trapping
- Guns / Knives / Weapons
In addition, due to additional checks we make to protect our visitors, we will only accept the following as paid submissions:
- Loans / Credit Cards / Mortgage
- Pharmaceutical / Pills / Supplements
Any site that is found to infringe on, or violate a person's rights, or contain material that promotes/disseminates illegal activities will be reported to relevent authorities.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content and activities on your site are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
To the extent that pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices are offered or promoted on your site, you certify that you are a licensed health care provider or other entity authorised to prescribe, distribute or otherwise deal in such products in the jurisdictions in which they are sold.
AWAYAWAY regularly checks the availability of submitted sites and as such, sites that are constantly offline or in an unfinished state may, at the decretion of AWAYAWAY, be temporarly disabled or removed completely from our database and search results. This is done to ensure accurate and reliable results when a user searches our site, as well as protect page-rank and SERPS placements for both your site and ours. If you expect your site to be offline for a considerable amount of time, please contact us and we will suspend your site from our listings until you advise us otherwise. Paid submissions will only ever be suspended and can be reactivated at any time by request. However, AWAYAWAY will endeavour to contact the submitter of these sites well before any suspension occurs.
Please ensure any information you enter into the submission form is complete and accurate. We will endeavor to correct submission errors for paid listings, but free listings will be rejected if too many errors are evident. Although we do our best to check all submissions, we cannot be held responsible for errors in listings that were made when the form was completed.
- TITLE :
Must be short and consise. For free submissions, this MUST be your official website ot business name.
- URL :
For Free lisings, this must be a generic (gTLD) or country (cTLD) top-level domain. The only exception to this is for pages that specifically for English language versions. For Paid submissions, sub-level domains and pages are allowable.
- DESCRIPTION :
Your site description should be accurate and consise with no false claims. For example, if you state "We are the cheapest available", then you should make sure you are.Although not prohibited by us, you should try to avoid quoting prices in your description as your listing would no longer be accurate if your prices change. We reserve the right to remove or disable your submission if it is found that your prices are out of date. While we do accept foreign language submissions, these MUST be be placed in the correct regional category.
- ARTICLES :
Articles must contain real and tangible information. This may be about a product or services, but should not be used solely as a promotion tool for your website or business. For example, if you are a tour operator, write about a destination and not just about your product. Links and contact information in articles will be removed and the appropriate information should be entered into the special fields provided. Failure to adhere to this may result in your article display without your site or owner detauils, or may mean the rejection of your article submission altogether.
- META INFORMATION :
When setting custom meta-tags and meta-description, please be aware that these just as important as you main site description.
- CATEGORY PLACEMENT :
You must select the category that most closely represents the subject matter of your website. We do add and amend categories on a regular basis. However, free submissions that have clearly made no effort to locate an appropriate category may be rejected (For example, if a Real Estate site has been place in an Automotive category). disable your submission if it is found that your prices are out of date. Foreign language submissions, MUST be be placed in the correct regional category
- EMAIL :
Your email address must be live and monitored. Upon submission we send you an email that with a link that must be clicked to confirm your listing. Unconfirmed listings will not be accepted and are automatically removed without ever being seen.
AWAYAWAY does not accept free submissions that cloak URLs or utilise a general redirection or rotation service. This includes:
- URL shortening and Redirection Services
- Masking or cloaking of destination
The above services are allowable for paid submissions, providing that the description supplied represents the page or site that is finally opened.
Affilate URL's are accepted as paid submissions only.
If you are a registered user, you can remove your submissions at any time by simply logging onto your account and choosing 'Edit'. There you will find options to remove or change your entry. Any changes will be submitted to admin for re-approval.
We no longer accept requests for removal of links via our contact form, due to the high ammount of non-authorised removal requests that we have received from business competitors. Any removal requests MUST either be requested from the email used at the time of submission, an email from the SAME domain as the submitted website, or via the removal option.
Listing removal can be facilitated only uby using any of the following methods :
- Using the 'Mark Link for Removal' option on submission forms (For registered users only that were logged in at the time of original submission).
- Send an email to direct from an email address associated with the website URL you want removed.
- Send an email to direct from the email address that was provided when the submission was originally made.

If you remove a paid submission, AWAYAWAY will not offer any refunds, unless a genuine error has occured. We may, at our sole descretion, offer you a refund or the opportunity to submit a new link for free.
Where identified as such, submissions that utlise automated, semi-automated or robot techniques will always be rejected without exception. Only submission made using the online forms navigable from our main menu will ever reach the review stage. We use various procedures to itentify and trap robot submissions and while it is not fool-proof, it is impossible for a submission made using our navigble forms to be marked and removed as a ronot submission.
There are absolutley no exceptions to this and no amount of pleading will result in your listing being approved, as once removed, it is impossible to recover. The only way to have your listing reviewed is to submit it in full again, using the proper and authorised methods.
All payments are made using reputable third party processors, such as PayPal, AlertPay and MoneyBookers. We will receieve a notification from them when a payment has been received and only then will your listing be queued for review.
Refunds are made only when a genuine error has been made or when we reject your initial submission. If you make a submission that we accept and then you later change your listing description or destination site that is against our terms and/or contains unsuitable content, refunds will be offered only at our descretion and then, only on a pro-rata basis. For listings that are cancelled or deleted having been active for part of their paid duration, only partial refunds on a pro-rata basis may be offered. If you submit a paid listing that contains illegal, immoral, questionable or content that is unsuitable for a general audience, it is clearly against our terms and no refund will be offered.
Payments by eCheck can take up to 9 days to clear to our account Therefore, paid listings made with eCheck will not reviewed until we have received notifications from the relevant processor, that the payment has cleared. At our descretion, we may review such listings from regular clients and approve them pending cleared payment. However, should the payment not clear, the listing will be rejected as unpaid.
When you pay for a listing, you have an option of choosing a one-off payment or a recurring subscription payment. If you choose the subscription option, you understand that only you can cancel the subscription, which should be done from your payment processor's account.
You should therefore understand that by choosing that option, you have authorised your chosen payment processor to make payments on your behalf and automatically at regular intrervals determined by YOU. We do not 'collect' money from your account, nor do with have any authorisation to do so.
Subscriptions are never selected by default and only you make that choice. Subscriptions are therefore your sole responsibility, so please do not 'claim' we have stolen money from your account when a year later a payment has gone from your account that you 'forgot' that you had authorised.
